1. Dignity & Respect First
Respect for every guest is the baseline standard. Treat fellow puzzlers and creators with warmth, curiosity, and kindness.
2. Sharing & Promoting Your Own Projects
There’s a high chance that if you like this page, you have your own projects too. We 100% want to help people try them here. But we also know that subreddits and forums can quickly devolve into a plate of indie dev spam. We want this to remain a community, not a billboard.
The Rule: Please do not post promotional links on the general boards, and don’t sacrifice the flow of the conversation just to get in a mention about your own project. It’s awkward. In exchange, we will absolutely roll out the red carpet for you in an ordered way.
The Right Way: Post it on our “People’s Personal Projects” page or reach out to me directly! I would love to look at what you’re making and present it to the community at the right moment in a dedicated spotlight.
3. Ideas, Submissions & Ownership in the Sandbox
The Sandbox is a Playground: Anything you post, solve, or design inside the public sandbox is shared freely with the community to play, test, and enjoy.
Commercial Development: samecircles.app is an experimental design laboratory. We actively use community feedback, sandbox mechanics, and puzzle concepts to develop standalone commercial games. By sharing ideas in the sandbox, you grant us permission to adapt, refine, and monetize game concepts that evolve from this space without obligation or royalty.
Keeping Your Own IP: If you have a fully formed, proprietary game you want to keep entirely as your own intellectual property, please don’t post its full design in the public sandbox! Instead, reach out directly so we can chat about it or feature it on our “People’s Personal Projects” page.
If you haven’t been offended yet, congratulations—you’ve passed initiation. Dive into the sandbox, share your thoughts, and let’s build something special together.
